Below is a case of a child undergoing treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the improvements observed over the course of seven consultations. The client continues to attend follow-up appointments.
First Consultation
A mother contacted me seeking help for her 4-year-old son who has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. During our first consultation, the boy sat quietly beside his mother. He did not speak and had a lethargic appearance, with deep-set eyes and some dark discoloration around them, suggesting fatigue or distress.
The mother’s primary concern was the frequency and intensity of his tantrums, which occurred both day and night. During the day, these tantrums were particularly severe, involving hitting and kicking his parents and throwing himself on the floor. The mother expressed her inability to control these outbursts. She noted that her son reacts negatively to being ignored, dislikes hearing the word “no,” and constantly seeks attention.
Nighttime was equally challenging, as the boy would wake up screaming without any apparent cause, and these episodes could last up to three hours. The lack of speech exacerbated the situation, as he often had tantrums when trying to communicate his needs, which his parents could not understand.
The boy does not speak at all, using only pointing gestures to indicate his desires. His mother is worried about his lack of awareness of his surroundings and his apparent absence of a sense of time.
He enjoys watching TV, which seems to be one of his few consistent interests. His symptoms began to manifest when he was just six months old.
Mother mentioned he often has some kind of convulsion which he falls on the floor, rolling back the eyes, clenching hands and body very tense.
Another concern is his teeth grinding, which occurs both during sleep and sometimes during the day. Additionally, the mother is worried about his eating habits. He has a limited diet, preferring foods like rice, bread, and pasta, and occasionally eats apples. He tends to overeat, leading to frequent vomiting.
The boy also frequently suffers from colds, characterised by a runny nose with clear, watery discharge, and a persistent cough. His cough, which sometimes involves chest congestion, worsens at night before bed, making it difficult for him to expel mucus.
In summary, the mother is deeply concerned about her son’s severe tantrums, speech delay, limited diet, frequent illnesses, and overall lethargy. She is seeking help to manage these challenges and improve his quality of life.
Prescription: A specific homeopathic remedy was prescribed to be taken daily at a constitutional level, with a dosage of three drops twice a day for four weeks.
Follow-up 1 – A month later
After administering the first doses of the homeopathic remedy, the mother reported that her son experienced diarrhoea and vomiting, which lasted for two days.
Since starting the remedy, his tantrums have reduced to no more than one episode per week. While he remains impatient and desires immediate gratification, the frequency and intensity of his tantrums have decreased significantly.
His sleep has also improved, as he can now sleep through the night on most nights. Since starting the remedy, he has only experienced two episodes of waking.
The boy has started making sounds and repeating words like “pasta” and “rice,” as well as some words he hears from watching TV. However, he is still unable to form sentences on his own.
The issue of grinding his teeth has improved, though it still occurs occasionally, particularly at night.
The mother mentioned that her son is violent toward his younger brother, who is one year younger. He does not like sharing his toys and constantly seeks attention. The mother is concerned about his aggressive behaviour toward his brother.
Additionally, she is worried because he has caught another cold since the last consultation. He has a runny nose and a chesty cough, making it difficult for her to understand his feelings and symptoms as he cannot verbalise them.
Prescription: Based on the significant improvement he has experienced, we decided to continue with the same remedy but at a higher potency to maintain the progress already achieved. The remedy should be taken daily, with a dosage of three drops once a day for four weeks.
Follow-up 2 – A month later
His mother reported that he has completely stopped waking up at night and no longer experiences convulsions.
He is jealous of his younger brother, which explains his occasional aggressive behaviour, such as kicking, pushing, and not sharing his toys. There hasn’t been much change in this behavior. He remains affectionate towards his parents but not as much towards his brother.
He continues to repeat words he hears from the TV but is still unable to form sentences or explain himself and his feelings. He cannot express what causes him stress.
Regarding his eating habits, there hasn’t been much change. He still consumes a lot of rice, pasta, and pizza.
Prescription: Based on the significant improvement he has experienced so far, we decided to continue with the same remedy but at a higher potency to maintain the progress already achieved. The remedy should be taken daily, with a dosage of three drops once a day for four weeks.
Additionally, we added a specific nosode remedy to be taken in a split dose only to address his jealousy towards his brother and to support speech development.
Follow-up 3 – Three months later
The mother said the family was away, which is why it took some time to come back for a follow-up.
His aggressiveness towards his brother has improved slightly.
His mother is delighted that he is now responding to questions and making eye contact every time he is called. He is also repeating what people say and things he hears on TV. His mother mentioned that he has a good memory. However, he still gets frustrated and stressed as he lacks the words to express himself.
His mother is concerned about his low energy levels; he plays for a little while and then needs to rest. A recent blood test showed low iron levels. During the consultation, he sat beside his mother the entire time. He has deep and dark discoloration around his eyes and pale skin.
On a positive note, his eating pattern has improved as he is now eating a variety of foods, and he loves soup.
Prescription: At this time, we decided to change the treatment and provide a mix of three remedies to address different issues: his blood, speech, and the jealousy, which has lessened but is still present. The remedy should be taken daily, with a dosage of three drops twice a day for four weeks.
Follow-up 4 – A month later
During this consultation, he was very active in the consultation room, playing continuously and chatting. He was asking questions and interacting with me.
His mother mentioned that he is now asking both her and his father questions. While he still has a lot to improve in terms of vocabulary, his interactions have greatly improved, and he is more aware of what is happening around him. He is very energetic and playful.
However, he still gets angry and cries when told “no.” His jealousy has improved but is still present; he likes attention all the time and gets upset when his brother receives attention.
Prescription: A single remedy was prescribed at this time to work at a constitutional level. The remedy should be taken daily, with a dosage of three drops twice a day for four weeks.
Follow-up 5 – A Month Later
The mother reported significant improvement in his speech and interactions. He is very chatty and frequently repeats what others say. He greets people on the street with a friendly “hi.”
He is more playful with his younger brother and can play together, although he still struggles with sharing toys. While there are still some fights, they have lessened. He is very affectionate towards his parents and continues to seek a lot of attention.
Prescription: A single remedy was prescribed to work at a constitutional level. The remedy should be taken daily, with a dosage of three drops twice a day for four weeks. Additionally, a remedy was prescribed to be used in case of tummy complaints and vomiting.
Follow-up 6 – A Month Later
The mother reported that he is doing very well, with a strong immune system. He hasn’t been sick for a while. Everyone has noticed significant improvements in his speech and interactions. His speech continues to improve, and he is very chatty, asking questions all the time.
His appetite has also improved, and he is now eating a variety of foods and everything the family eats.

Conclusion
He continues to come for follow-ups and is improving with each visit. Over seven consultations, we have seen great improvement in his health, behaviour and speech development.
